Construction of power transmission projects is undertaken by a joint-venture between MRCB and Pemodalan Nasional Berhad. Named as Transmission Technology Sdn. Bhd. (TTSB), this premier local turnkey contractor has accumulated extensive expertise in engineering, construction and commissioning services to deliver high voltage transmission lines and sub-stations.

500kV Transmission System Development (Phase 1) For Peninsular Malaysia
A 500kV overhead transmission lines and 275kV interconnection transmission lines project completed for national energy provider, Tenaga Nasional Berhad.

275kV Sabah East-West Interconnection Grid
Completed in December 2007 at an estimated cost of RM400 million, this is the largest of such project in Malaysia. Today, it acts as the power infrastructure backbone for Sabah. The project involved a massive operation of four sub-stations and the nation’s longest transmission line, bringing electricity to all consumers and industries, from Kota Kinabalu in the West to Sandakan in the East.

Pantai - Salak South GIS Transmission Line
The implementation of 275kV hybrid transmission lines and underground cables between Salak South and Pantai substations enabled the transmission of 1,000 MVA power on each circuit via 275kV GIS Switching Station at Salak South to 275kV GIS Extension Bays at Pantai.

Sarawak Hydroelectric Project
The project entails the design, supply, delivery to site, erection, testing and commissioning of electrical installation and civil works for Bakun 275kV Switchyard and Control Building. It will be constructed on 35,000 square metres at the Bakun Dam Development Area. The work involves the development of a new substation that comprises 8 bays of one-and-a-half breaker 275kV switchyard (including a switching station) and approximately 2 km of 275kV transmission lines that connect the Bakun Dam power house to the new substation.

Transmission Line Relocation Works, Kelana Jaya
MRCB through its subsidiary, TTSB has been awarded the contract to design, construct, complete, testing & commissioning of TNB high voltage overhead transmission line relocation works for the Kelana Jaya line extension project. The contract value is RM8.8 million and it is expected to complete by August 2012.
