| Launched on 31 July 2007, Penang Sentral will be the new catalyst of growth for Butterworth city, the mainland of Penang and the Northern Corridor Economic Development (NCER).
Introducing a new concept of connectivity, Penang Sentral will become the northern transportation and commercial hub. It integrates rail, road and sea transportation services with residential, retail and commercial development within the same 6 million sq. ft. land.
Penang Sentral will sit at the traditional loci of Butterworth. It will be differentiated into two main development stratums: the transport hub and the commercial hub. The design philosophy aims to bring the public closer to amenities, jobs and indulgences; while connecting businesses with ready human traffic, services and workforce – all within a one-stop catchment area.
Once completed, Penang Sentral will meet the needs of merchants, corporations, students, even travellers in an ecologically sustainable manner. |
